Little Giving Pantry

Based on the Little Free Pantry grassroots movement (www.littlefreepantry.org), the Little Giving Pantry is a way neighbors can help neighbors with food scarcity. According to Pastor Chris Hufnagel, “During these tough times, we want to be here for each other.” Whether your family has a need for food or a desire to give, the Little Giving Pantry is an easy way to become involved. Based on the slogan, “Take what you need; Give what you can” the use of the box is anonymous and free.
Give what you can by placing food, personal care items, or paper items inside the mini pantry. Give what you would want to receive. An easy rule of thumb: buy extra of what you buy your household. No gift is too small. A single can of green beans can help. Items should be unexpired and in good condition. (During very cold weather, please avoid leaving canned and glass items.)
Take what you need. If you find items inside and you need them, take them and know we care about you. Please remember the Little Giving Pantry belongs to all of us and take only those items you need, trusting the mini pantry will be here for you again.
Nonperishable food/personal care donations can be left in the pantry next to the parking lot of the Seventh-day Adventist Church at 419 Trapping Brook Road, Wellsville, NY.
